Chris Freytag, founder of Get Healthy U. and an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Health Coach, Fitness Instructor and author shares her berry smoothie on her Instagram and we, at Kuel Life, want to share it with our community.
It’s heading into Fall and fresh berry season is ending but you can still enjoy a healthy smoothie all year round with the help of frozen berries. Here is Chris’ smoothie recipe:
- 1 cup Frozen mixed berries (blue, black, straw, and raspberries)
- 1 scoop Whey Protein
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 2 tbsp powdered PB2 peanut butter
- almond milk – add as much as you want to make as thick as you want
- Whey protein
- Pumpkin seeds or pistachios for extra crunch

Even though we're slowly creeping into fall, we can still make the most of the warm 70 degree days before they turn into 50 degree days!!!!! ?? … … Berry season is starting to slow down … but berry smoothies are year round when you use frozen fruit! (plus the frozen fruit makes it THICK!) This is my go-to smoothie when I'm in a hurry to head out the door: . . ?1 cup Frozen mixed berries (blue, black, straw, and raspberries) ? 1 scoop Whey Protein ? 1 tbsp chia seeds ?2 tbsp powdered PB2 peanut butter ? almond milk – add as much as you want to make as thick as you want. . I've talked about why I use whey protein in the past – I like to get the BCAAs … but sometimes I do add collagen too – (just remember whey and collagen have differet amino acid profiles and work on different things) . . I sometimes sub out the PB2 for @organifi greens powder. . I sometimes add a banana. . oh yeah – I do add pumpkin seeds and/or pistachios for extras crunch cuz I eat my smoothie with a spoon ? ***I guess the purple is appropriate for today since I'm going to the VIKINGS game ???
