Maria Leonard Olsen, a biracial woman whose parents were forbidden by law to marry in the 1960s, is the author of 50 After 50—Reframing the Next Chapter of Your Life, an empty-nester mom, attorney, women writing/empowerment retreat leader, recovery mentor and cohost of WPFW’s “Inside Out” radio show in Washington, D.C.
She’s spoken at the Mixed Remixed Festival, National March to End Rape Culture, the Pennsylvania Conference for Women, U.S.DOJ’s Asian American Celebration and as a motivational speaker at corporate/nonprofit meetings.
