I learned to do this breathing practice when I was learning to work with those who have experienced trauma. It is a great way to get the whole body engaged in reducing stress. Use this breath when you need to let go of a negative situation or get negative energy out of your body. You don’t need to carry that stuff around! It doesn’t do anybody any good. When it is gone, joy is left!
This time of year can be exhausting with all our family and friend obligations. Taking advantage of these breathing practices can really help us get through this season more mindfully and at peace. And, who wouldn’t want that?
