This is just one of the many reasons Portugal should be on your travel list.

“This is a country that continues to surprise and delight at every turn.”

The Authentic Side Of Portugal:

Of late, Portugal has stepped into the bucket list of many travelers and for the right reasons. There, you can enjoy grand cities to medieval villages and dazzling coastlines. Discover the birthplace of port and the treasures of the Douro Valley, take a step back in time at the ancient university of Coimbra, learn the secrets of Porto’s backstreets, and get to the heart of glorious Lisbon. Uncover the authentic side of Portugal; a land of rich history, vibrant regional cultures, stunning landscapes, and refined cuisine.

And did you know? The Institute for Economics and Peace ranks it as the world’s third-most-peaceful country. This is a country that continues to surprise and delight at every turn.

Four Reasons Why Portugal Makes Our Most Desired List For 2023:

1.Endless Sunshine, Sun and Sea:

Possibly, Europe’s best climate – hot summers refreshed by the Atlantic breeze and the highest number of sunshine hours in Europe – now that is hard to beat! Visit its beaches and do not miss a sunset in this country!

2. Fresh & Fabulous Food. Real Food:

Portuguese cuisine has been somehow overshadowed by French, Italian, or even Spanish Cuisine… but you don’t know what you are missing! Superlative seafood, sun-ripened fruit, lamb raised in flower-speckled meadows, free-range pigs gorging on acorns beneath oak forests, and more. Without them, it just doesn’t taste the same. Be sure to say ‘yes’ to a gastronomic experience in Porto!

For foodies, those little Pasteis de Nata (custard tarts) may just be the reason to visit Portugal. Sold everywhere, they are a perfect morning or afternoon pick me up, especially enjoyed with a cup of coffee or tea.

3. Beautiful Towns & Architecture:

The two main cities of Lisbon and Porto have beautiful architecture, with brightly painted houses. You will find plenty of those gorgeous intricately painted tiles everywhere, whitewashed buildings on the coast, terracotta roofs in the green rolling hills or winding cobbled streets spotting huge wisteria plants at each turn. There’s something for every taste and style.

4. Portuguese Wines And Its Regions:

Our first thought when we talk about Portuguese wine is Port.

Port wine is, without a doubt, one of the most famous Portuguese wines, but it is just one varietal of a huge and exquisite Portuguese list. Besides its unquestioned delicious flavor, these wines are born in the most elegant wine regions! Douro Valley was the first wine region to be declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. So, don’t just taste these wines, try to explore their vineyards and local estates.

Portugal has everything – amazing warm, sunny weather, beautiful beaches, delicious cuisine, exquisite wines, a laid-back lifestyle and easy to get around. What are you waiting for? Start packing.
