Why Serums Are Great For Your Skin Care Routine

Beauty In And Out: Sheryl Wilson

Serums are nourishment for our skin, once you have prepared your skin for absorption.

What do I mean?

Firstly, you must exfoliate and deep cleanse your pores, so that serums can penetrate and do their job. If you have layers of aged epidermal skin cells (otherwise referred to as “dead skin”) and clogged pores, there is literally no reason to go any further.

“Serums can handle a multitude of skin concerns and have deeper absorption potential than even most creams.”

Don’t waste your money on serums, moisturizers, or night replenishers, as they will simply sit on top of the skin versus absorb. You cannot get anything down a clogged drain. Think of clogged pores the same way. There is blockage, so nothing penetrates.

Skin will also look dull unless exfoliated and deep cleansed. And make-up will not blend well. It may tend to fade or collect into pores and lines. Time to peel off the old and reveal the new, so that the new skin can be nourished and prepared for protection and then replenishment.

Why Use Serums?

Convinced to cleanse and exfoliate? GREAT! NOW WHY SERUMS?

Serums can handle a multitude of skin concerns and have deeper absorption potential than even most creams. Serums contain a group of useful nutrients for the skin and are designed to deliver specific high concentrations of ingredients to the skin cells.

Moreover, serums range in benefits: from brightening, to rebuilding collagen and elastin production, to firming, to deep hydration, to lines and wrinkle reduction, to prevention of new lines and wrinkles to diminishing hyperpigmentation and in one case, actually LIFTING the skin!

A perfect example: A LED Red Light Therapy Wand Conductor, combined, with a space-age peptide technology serum, where the skin layers absorb the LED (Photon) light waves which causes increased cellular activity (680 nm wavelength). As cellular activity increases, collagen is stimulated and regeneration occurs.

Are Peptides Important?

What are Peptides and why do you want them in your serums and, for that matter, your day and night moisturizers?

Peptides are amino acids that are the building blocks of certain proteins needed by the skin, like collagen and elastin. Some advanced peptides can help to rebuild and repair damaged cells, provide firmer skin, deep moisturization, signal collagen and elastin repair, even reduce lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and even minor breakouts or acne, as well as promoting younger skin.

“Some advanced peptides can help to rebuild and repair damaged cells”

It is simply remarkable how far serums have come!

Higher levels of targeted peptides can actually fight the effects of gravity and skin sagging, and signal the skin to produce collagen and elastin for firmer, younger looking skin. In laboratory tests under a microscope, a higher quantity of elastin in the extracellular matrix was seen after applying the peptide complex. The peptide complex provides important elements the skin can use to rebuild youthful skin architecture.

Skin’s Cellular Longevity:

If your choice is to do non-invasive or even invasive procedures, it is imperative to get the value out of them with the proper skin care! There is an integral special ingredient you won’t find in anywhere but in one skincare line… the extract of the sacred lotus seed. They were even awarded the patent in 1995!

Why is the sacred lotus seed extract so very important to the skin’s cellular longevity? Actually, founded over 1000 years ago in ancient China and India in the times of King Tut and Cleopatra, the sacred lotus seed was known for its mysterious powers of resisting and defying the aging process. A startling discovery was made!

UCLA scientists set out to test the legend of the seed. They took lotus seeds over 1288 years old and planted them. Just four days later, the ancient seeds sprouted into healthy, young lotus plants. The seeds had resisted the aging process for over 1000 years!

Use Serums That Have A Quick Delivery System:

The scientists discovered antioxidants and the first DNA protein repair enzyme (methyltransferase) within the sacred lotus seed. Dermatologists tested the lotus seed formulas & found:

  • Lotus reversed visible wrinkles by 50%.
  • Increased elasticity 82%.
  • Reduced pore size 60%.
  • Made skin look much younger!

Look for serums that have a quick delivery system and make sure that they contain a multitude of various peptides, ceramides, amino acids, vitamins, enzymes, hyaluronate (this is a smaller molecule and can be absorbed deeply, so that it becomes more or an effective way to hydrate and build volume) or hyaluronic acid, all adding up to a powerful antioxidant treatment.
