Let’s Welcome Kim Muench to Kuel Life:
KUEL LIFE: What type of business do you own/run?
Kim: I am the Founder of Real Life Parent Guide. I am a Jai Institute for Parenting Certified Coach who specifically works with parents of 18+ on building healthier, more functional relationships.
KUEL LIFE: What prompted you or drove you to become an entrepreneur?
“My own personal challenges in raising five children are what brought me to this work.”
Kim: My own personal challenges in raising five children are what brought me to this work. Specifically, walking through addiction with my eldest son when he was twenty years old, that experience was both my parenting wake up call and personal awakening. I’ve been in business since 2016, supporting other parents through the parent/child relationship during young adulthood fills my cup and helps me to be a better mom to my own adult children.
Managing Time:
KUEL LIFE: What is your biggest struggle?
Kim: Managing my time efficiently. I have developed a sizeable social media following and continuing to engage there as well as see clients, market my book Becoming Me While Raising You, and continue to push myself to do things to personally grow (like a TEDx talk) keep me very busy.
KUEL LIFE: What is your biggest fear as an entrepreneur? How do you work through it?
Kim: My biggest fear as an entrepreneur is that I will mismanage something or that something will happen with social media and the following (which translates to my client base) will disappear.
Parenting Adult Kids Is A Tough Subject:
“You can do anything you set your mind to if you work on yourself in the process”
KUEL LIFE: How do you measure your success?
Kim: By the number of consultations I have on my calendar…I have 12 spots a week and they are filled for the next month. Not all convert to clients, but enough do so that I keep my client list full.
KUEL LIFE: What advice would you give to other women pursuing an entrepreneurial path?
You have to know and love your “why”, there are going to be rough days, things that are going to take longer than you want them to, and lots of rejection in the process of success. You can do anything you set your mind to if you work on yourself in the process of building a business. Your personal growth translates into a growth in your business.
