KUELLIFE: What type of business do you own/run?
ANDREA: I create beautiful silk scarves from my artwork. The scarves are made in Italy.
KUELLIFE: What prompted you or drove you to become an entrepreneur? When?
ANDREA: As an artist, I’ve always been an entrepreneur. I always had a job though and got tired of executing other people’s ideas.
KUELLIFE: What turns you on most about your gig?
ANDREA: Making my artwork. I love using different media and creating something new. I also love making women look and feel amazing wearing one of my scarves.
KUELLIFE: What’s your biggest struggle?
ANDREA: Just one? Not having the support. I’d love to have a partner but not in a financial position to do so yet.
KUELLIFE: What is your biggest fear as an entrepreneur? How do you work through it?
ANDREA: Fear? Not being able to support myself by not getting enough sales. I work through it by moving forward, I carry on. I look for freelancing gigs retouching.
KUELLIFE: How do you measure your success?
ANDREA: Well, since I left my full-time job as a high-end photo-retoucher, I am extremely happy. I am doing my own thing. Happiness equals success.
KUELLIFE: Finally, what advice would you give other women about taking an entrepreneurial path?
ANDREA: Be prepared. It’s a long, lonely struggle. Like all of us, we hope to come out on top.
