Maria Da Silva is a practicing shaman, writer and traveler who lives in Plymouth, Massachusetts and travels frequently to her home islands of the Azores.
The founder of Wise Shaman Within, she is bringing peace, healing, and light to the world one client and one workshop at a time. Maria As A Founder Of Wise Shaman Within:
KUELLIFE: What type of business do you own/run?
Maria: I am the founder of Wise Shaman Within, which stresses the importance of ritual and ceremony as a transformational process, and offers transformative workshops, ceremonies and individual sessions to help clients let go of the “old” and bring in the “new.” These are spiritual practices based in the Peruvian tradition of shamanism with a Modern Shaman twist.
KUELLIFE: What prompted you or drove you to become an entrepreneur? When?
Maria: The world needs healing. Healing happens in ways both big and small. If Wise Shaman Within can heal even one person or one small group of people that essentially brings more love and light into the world. Healing and growth experiences are choices that we make. Wise Shaman Within and its practices can help guide others on that path to wholeness.

Power Is Love:
KUELLIFE: What’s your biggest struggle?
Maria: My biggest struggle is believing that what I have to offer has power. But, of course it has power, because that power is love. If you hold out your hand and I reach back and say that I am with you as a spiritual guide and mentor, then you can and will be supported in your growth. And also, through my writing, I can share my personal and spiritual growth with you. “We are all just walking each other home.”
KUELLIFE: What is your biggest fear as an entrepreneur? How do you work through it?
Maria: My biggest fear is shrinking back and not sharing my stories and my own personal path with others. Sometimes we feel that our ordinary lives are not extraordinary. That we have nothing to share or that it is not so important. However, I am extraordinary – we all are. We just have to shine our individual healing light out there and shake up the world!

KUELLIFE: How do you measure your success?
Maria: I measure my success by looking at my eyes in the mirror and seeing if they shine. Also after a healing session or workshop, when I can actually see a visual transformation in someones face, or feel it in their essence, then I know the session or workshop has been a success.
KUELLIFE: Finally, what advice would you give other women about taking an entrepreneurial path?

Maria: People must choose their own path of purpose. Entrepreneurship is not for everyone, but even if you feel a glimpse of something – go for it. Give the world what you’ve got! Show them the real you. Stop hiding out and you will give others permission to stop hiding out, as well.
