What better way to warm up than with soup?
KuelWoman, Echo, shares her favorite healthy soup recipe with Kuel Life. For those of us struggling with inflammation, the turmeric is a wonderful addition.

Here’s How We Can Do The Winter Soup:
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 large sweet onion chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed black pepper
- 5 vine ripened tomatoes cut into large chunks
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 cup parsley finely chopped
- 8 leaves fresh basil torn up
- 14 oz can crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup black lentils
- 1 quart + a little bit chicken bone broth
- 2 teaspoons turmeric
- 1/2 cup coconut cream
Heat butter over medium-high heat, add onion and cook until soft. Add fresh tomatoes, and salt and pepper, and cook for 10-15 minutes. Add parsley and basil, and cook for 5 more minutes on medium. Then, Add broth, crushed tomatoes, lentils, and turmeric, turn back up to med-high and cook until lentils are done about 20 minutes. Add coconut cream and serve. Now you have your own winter soup!
