Time To Reinvent: Beverley Glazer
If you’re feeling stuck despite a seemingly “fine” life, your midlife reinvention may already be underway—it starts with listening to what no longer fits.
Are you feeling stuck in life— though, everything on the outside seems just ‘fine’. You have a career, a family, and hold it all together yet, something inside you feels off. This is the wake-up call – and where midlife reinvention begins.
In Midlife You’re Evolving:
I work with high-achieving midlife women every day—doctors, creatives, entrepreneurs, caregivers. All of them incredibly capable and on top of their game, yet they wonder why their lives feel misaligned.
They’re not broken. And neither are you.
If you’ve been questioning yourself, people-pleasing, pushing harder to prove, or silencing your needs in any way, those outdated thinking patterns are keeping your stuck. And that mindset needs to change.
The Surprising Truth:
Sometimes that wake-up call looks like exhaustion, numbness or disconnection. It’s not always a dramatic event.
That was the case for one former client, who’s business took a hit during the pandemic. At first, she scrambled to “fix” things, but then she decided to do something radically different: she unplugged. For two weeks, she walked in silence—no music, no podcasts, no problem-solving.
And in that space, she realized her old life no longer fit who she was.
When you’re stuck in life, it’s a wake-up call that you’ve outgrown who you were and you’re ready for more.
Midlife Is A Calling, Not A Crisis:
This stage of life is an opportunity to start living your life on your own terms.
Whether you’re craving deeper purpose, more freedom, or simply want to feel like yourself again, your personal transformation begins by rewriting your story.
5 Mindset Shifts To Jumpstart Your Midlife Reinvention:
Here are five mindset shifts to help you begin your midlife reinvention.
1. Stop Asking, “What’s Next?”—Ask “What’s Real?”
Get honest about how you feel, what you want, and what’s no longer working. That’s the starting point for rewriting your story.
2. Create Space To Hear Yourself Think:
Transformation doesn’t happen when you’re multitasking. It begins in quiet moments without pressure to perform. Take time to walk, sit, breathe. You don’t need to fix everything. You need to feel what’s already true.
3. Question The Rules You’re Still Following:
Are you living by beliefs you inherited or are they the ones you chose?
It’s time to ask: Who taught me this? Why am I still carrying it? You’re not here to shrink, apologize, or prove your worth. You’re here to be authentic.
4. Reimagine—Don’t Just Rebuild:
Midlife reinvention isn’t about slapping a new coat of paint on an old life. It’s about imagining a life that reflects who you are now. It’s time to let go of what no longer serves you.
5. Choose Yourself Over Proving Yourself:
You’ve already proven yourself a hundred times over. You don’t need more gold stars. You need to choose yourself without guilt. The real power is saying, ‘I’m enough now’ and knowing you have nothing to prove.
It’s Time For Your Midlife Reinvention:
This is your moment to pause, breathe, and choose again. Not because anything’s wrong with you—but because something deeper is waking up.
You’ve played the roles. Followed the rules. Now this isn’t enough. If something inside you is whispering, “I want more,” listen. That voice is real. What’s one belief you’re ready to let go of? Write it down. Say it out loud. Let it go.
