Michelle has been starting and building businesses, professionally training and coaching within the small business sector over the last 34 years.
Even as a child, the entrepreneurial spirit drove her to build communities and provide services to others and this continued throughout her life at each stage.
Much of her life has been “in-the-trenches” business experience, starting and growing a variety of businesses, including a VA business, online courses, franchise owner and trainer, dinner theater, talent agent, digital marketing agency and now a coaching business for midlife women.
Michelle offers a transparent conversation and relevant, valuable content for entrepreneurial women in midlife. She shares effective, holistic approaches to growing yourself to grow your business. Kuel Life welcomes Michelle to the roster of Industry Thought Leaders.
Welcome Michelle Olvier to Kuel Life.
KUELLIFE: What type of business do you own/run for?
Michelle Oliver: I have a coaching, consulting, training and event business.
“I continue helping them Re-Vision their lives because of the powerful, positive impact it makes in their lives.”
KUELLIFE: What prompted you or drove you to become an entrepreneur? When?
Michelle Oliver: I’ve been a student of personal development since the early 1980s, selling and training with some of the best leaders in that field. After starting and growing 7 businesses over the last 30 years I now focus my experience and passion on helping women clarify their purpose, values and mission. Building a business can be the most creative and fulfilling path for women in midlife. I continue helping them Re-Vision their lives because of the powerful, positive impact it makes in their lives.
Stay Focused:
KUELLIFE: What’s your biggest struggle?
Michelle Oliver: I’ve learned not to struggle. I just stay focused and move steadily in the direction of my vision. The most important thing in growing a business is to manage the mental conversations we have with ourselves.
KUELLIFE: What is your biggest fear as an entrepreneur? How do you work through it?
Michelle Oliver: I’ve always been in business for myself. I guess I am just very comfortable being uncomfortable. I thrive on growth and learned that stepping into any fear dissolves it. As long as I am in motion, I know I am growing and fear is just a sign that we need to expand never contract. It is just information.
“Allow yourself to dream, to execute, to learn, to grow..”
Grow Into A Better Person:
KUELLIFE: How do you measure your success?
Michelle Oliver: I measure success in two primary ways; the promises I keep to myself and the impact I have on others. If I am not keeping the promises I make to myself I fall short and if I do not continue to grow into a better person I can’t make positive impact and I fail.
KUELLIFE: Finally, what advice would you give other women about taking an entrepreneurial path?
Michelle Oliver: If you have desire in your heart, understand that it is your responsibility to commit and make it a reality. Allow yourself to dream, to execute, to learn, to grow, and accomplish much more than your habitual doubt might tell you can achieve. Spend time with women who have gone before you that will lift you in the direction of your audacious dreams!
