We’ve all heard the concept of finding our “calling” in life.
Usually, when we’re kids, we start being told that people are naturally pulled in a certain direction. And that this path is what they were meant to do. Your evolution as a person then grows out of that “calling,” whatever it may be.
While I’m sure some people are fortunate enough to find their ideal path in life as a child or adolescent, I don’t agree that this phenomenon should be reserved for young people.
“While it’s easier to capture this feeling when you’re a kid, there’s no reason you can’t maintain it as an adult.”
Always Search For Your Passion:
One of the best parts about being young is how magical the world looks through your eyes. Nothing is out of the realm of possibility in a child’s mind; they see something incredible, they think they can do it. While it’s easier to capture this feeling when you’re a kid, there’s no reason you can’t maintain it as an adult.
Always be curious. Always try new things. Never be complacent. Say YES as often as you can. Those are the kinds of things I’ve tried to do throughout my life, and it’s part of the reason I’ve been able to find new passions into my 50s and 60s.
I’ve been in the automotive industry for over three decades. Does this seem like a natural segue for a life as a pro-aging fitness enthusiast and lifestyle influencer? It doesn’t. The thing is, I’ve always loved fitness, health, and fashion, and I am adamant about changing the narrative surrounding aging, specifically for women. These are passions of mine, some of which I’ve always had and some that I’ve picked up along the way.
Yes, I’m now in my 60s, but I didn’t let that stop me from pursuing these things. My evolution as a person never stops, and these passions of mine have led me down new and exciting roads.
There’s no shot clock here. Always keep an eye out for topics or activities you’re passionate about!
“Your evolution as a person never stops..”
New Discoveries:
You will discover some pretty incredible things about yourself if and when you pursue something new. You’ve never actually tested your skills in this area; maybe you have a natural talent! You could also uncover skills where you need some improvement, which will make you a more well-rounded person. Your personal evolution is fueled by new adventures!
I’ve been able to connect with people as a pro-aging fitness enthusiast and lifestyle influencer in ways I never have before. It’s also made me grow as a person by exposing certain flaws of mine, something that never would have happened had I not taken that plunge and pursued these passions.
Your evolution as a person never stops, and finding new roads to travel on makes the process easier and more fulfilling. I look forward to seeing what your future holds!
