Sonia Lovett, from Style Beyond Age, likes to say she’s been dressing for herself since 1952 and we at Kuel Life think she does a fabulous job! Kuel Life is excited to announce we will be collaborating to bring our Kuel Community more of Sonia’s elegant fashion sense.
Fall is here, finally… and it is that time of year when we go back into our closets and take inventory. What still works for us? What needs to be tossed or given away? What needs replacing? And, what new items should we splurge on for the new season?
Not many of us have a closet like Sonia’s. She is fortunate enough to have had a classic fashion sense from the beginning and the space to house her life-time acquisitions. She recently took a dive into her closet to highlight how one can re-invent her look and not spend any extra money.
Here are a few of the very put-together outfits she showcased for us in a recent blog: “Shop your own closet: 7 Fall Trends I found while cleaning out mine!”
In each of these ensembles, Sonia chooses a winter-white pair of booties. Something my closet is in desperate need of…but, I thought it great to highlight how she puts three separate outfits together – all with the same pair of shoes.
Oversized white sweater. Ralph Lauren plaid silk dress. White booties. Given the sweater option, which is great for Fall, a plaid full skirt would be perfect as well.
Animal print bell bottom pants that Sonia purchased about 18 years ago at Intermix paired with a black silk blouse. Almost all of us have a black blouse in our repertoire by now. White booties.
White House Black Market tuxedo jacket. Silk palazzo pants. Animal print crop top. Again, the white booties.
Hopefully, this inspires our KUEL women to dive into their closets and come out with some fresh looks. We would love to see some of your ‘new’, already owned, threads. Who knows? What you come up with could spark another KUEL woman’s creativity.
You can follow Sonia directly on her Instagram and stay tuned here, on Kuel Life, for more fashion inspirations.
